The BCCI Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held for the first time under the leadership of Sourav Ganguly. After being appointed as BCCI chairman, the board on Sunday decided to scrap the administrative reforms mandated by the Supreme Court for its office bearers, after which the former captain has now cleared the way for extension at the end of his nine-month term. This decision was taken at the 88th annual general meeting of the board, though it would still require the approval of the top court.

सौरव गांगुली की अगुवाई में पहली बार बीसीसीआई की वार्षिक आम बैठक (एजीएम) हुई। बीसीसीआई का चेयरमैन नियुक्त होने के बाद रविवार को बोर्ड ने अपने पदाधिकारियों के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा अनिवार्य प्रशासनिक सुधारों को खत्म करने का फैसला किया, इसके बाद अब पूर्व कप्तान को अपने नौ महीने के कार्यकाल के अंत में विस्तार पाने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है।यह निर्णय बोर्ड की 88वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक में लिया गया हालांकि इसके लिए अभी शीर्ष अदालत की मंजूरी की आवश्यकता होगी।
