During Budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed that 3477 'Sagar Mitras' will enable the fishery extension work to form 500 fish farmer producing organisations.
“Our government proposes to put in place a frame work for development management and conservation of marine fisheries resources. Youth and fishery extension work to be enabled by rural youth as 'Sagar Mitras', forming 500 fish farmer producing organizations” the Finance Minister said.
