Nars conjures up the era of Studio 54 when Elton John, Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol took centre stage, and Dior rings in 2020 with shimmery palettes.

In round two of our festive beauty collection reviews, we are pitting two of the biggest names in beauty – Nars and Dior – against each other to find out what they have to offer for the festive season, and whether we will be keeping them all or chucking some over to our mums.

This year’s festive collection is all about Studio 54, a nod to the glamorous 60s, 70s and 80s when the glitzy nightclub was filled to the gills with big names such as Elton John, Andy Warhol, Edie Sedgwick, Mick Jagger and more. So think a liberal sprinkle of shimmer and lots of bold reds for the cheeks and lips – and even the eyes, if you dare. Watch us try them out during the review!

DIOR
Inspired by new year fireworks, creative and image director for Dior Makeup Peter Philips created a collection that is glittery and embellished with Happy 2020 all over the palettes. As a special bonus, we also show you the limited-edition Dior advent calendar in the video, as well as its design, which was taken from the fashion house’s very first maison on Champs-Elysees!
