Hey Lovelies,\r
\r
As you already know virgin hair is not cheap nor should it be wasted! \r
\r
My customers have been asking me whether there are any tips to help them save their old extensions and re use the hair. My answer is plain and simply yes! If the hair is truly virgin hair and has previously been damaged due to over bleaching, split ends or mistreatment of your extensions in general. If the hair is truly virgin hair then the microwave method of deep conditioning your virgin hair will breathe some well needed life back into your extensions/ virgin hair.\r
\r
You can then decide whether you wish to use the hair and make a wig or alternatively use it for a weave. Make sure you watch this video before you throw away that expensive virgin burmese hair, Brazilian hair, peruvian hair or malaysian hair.\r
\r
Step 1. Detangle the hair and align the wefts.\r
\r
Step 2. Wet the hair and use a good grade shampoo to remove the build up in the hair. Make sure you rinse the shampoo well.\r
\r
Step 3. Add conditioner to the hair and work it into the extensions. \r
\r
Step 4. Add a tablespoon of argan oil and also work this into the hair.\r
\r
Step 5. lay the hair in the tupperware, closing three sides and leaving one side open. Depending on the weight of the hair set the microwave to high heat and let the hair steam for one minute and a half to a maximun of 2 minutes.\r
\r
Step 6. remove the tupperware and set it on the side closing the lid fully. After ten mintes rinse the hair under icy cold water to close the cuticles.\r
\r
Step 7. lay the hair flat on a towel and once the hair is dry you are ready to re-use that Virgin hair.\r
\r
The same method can be used for wigs as long as there are no metal clips sewn in.\r
\r
My shampoo of choice is herbal essences hello hydration and my favourite conditioner is also the Herbal Essences Hello hydration as it leaves the hair soft as butter!\r
\r
The argan oil cgives the hair a much needed boost of moisture and can be purchased from .\r
