The Senate passed a 10-year extension on the Iran Sanctions Act.
The measure, which extends current sanctions against the country, passed by a vote of 99-to-0.
The extension also passed the House of Representatives last month, with a nearly unanimous vote as well.
Congressional aides expect the president to sign the act into law after it reaches his desk.
